Carolyn Sue (Keen) Turnbull was born in Sumner County, Tennessee, on March 15, 1950 to William Leon Keen & Janie Irene (Adcock) Keen. She departed this life on February 27, 2024 in Indianapolis, Indiana. She will forever be greatly loved and missed by all who knew her.

Carolyn, who was also known as “Sue” or “Mimi”, was a one of a kind woman with a heart of gold. She grew up in Indianapolis and was one of eight children. She often referred to herself as the “wild, fiery red head”.

Sue was someone who could talk to anyone and never met a stranger. She was the most giving and selfless person, even if she was the one in need. A firm believer in God, she never let her faith waiver, even in her most trying times of life. She knew God was on her side and knew where she was going when her time came. Sue was a very proud mother and grandmother. She always said that her kids and grandkids are what gave her a purpose in life, and she was so very proud of them. She was a great story teller and was always willing to play a prank on someone.

Sue is survived by her daughter Kimberly (Kim) Ann Hagan and her partner Trilby, her son Brian Patrick Hagan and his wife Stephanie, step-son Adam Joseph Turnbull, her grandchildren Brittany Nicole McClain, Dewayne Mark Hagan, Derik Mikal Hagan, and Destiny Marie Hagan, and great grandson David Joe (Davey) Cunningham III. She is also survived by her siblings Clifton Leon Keen and his wife Yong (Julie), Franklin (Frank) Andrew Keen, Rebecca (Becky) Elaine Keen Bauerle and husband Joseph (Joe), Linda Lou Keen Profitt, and a whole bunch of nieces and nephews.

She was proceeded in death by her parents, her brother Ricky Thomas Keen, her sister Sherry “Denise” Keen Sanders, and sister Sandra Faye Keen.

A Celebration of life will take place on March 16, 2024 at The Bliss Space 8445 Castleton Corner Dr. Indianapolis, Indiana 46250 from 6p.m. - 8p.m.
