Carolyn's obituary

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Mrs. Carolyn Ray of Aurora, IL, who left us peacefully on May 31, 2024. Born on June 14, 1944 in Shelbyville, IL, Carolyn lived a life filled with love, grace, and resilience. Her light may be extinguished from this world, but her legacy and spirit will forever remain in our hearts.  She was a member of the First Christian Church in Aurora, IL.  She was also known as the beloved "Cookie Lady" to the Parkside bowlers.

She leaves behind her husband of 60 years, Michael Ray, two children Mark Ray & Cheryl Daley(son in law, John Daley) and three grandchildren, Tyler, Emily & Abbey.  She is preceded in death by her parents Mildred and Melvin Matsch and her brother Frederick Matsch.

In memory of Carolyn,  expressions of sympathy can be made through donations to the American Heart Association. The URL for funds being raised in her memory is: https://everloved.com/life-of….

As we bid our final farewell do remember that Carolyn's life was a testament to love, kindness, and generosity. May her soul find eternal peace and may her life serve as an inspiration to us all. She may be gone from our sight, but she will never be far from our hearts.
