Carolyn's obituary

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Carolyn "Sue" Harmon (Sheets, Estep), affectionately known as Sue but preferred Carolyn. Born on December 14, 1943, Carolyn passed away peacefully on June 13, 2024. Her spirit, love for all animals big and small, and her remarkable knack for finding treasures in Garage/Rummage Sales. She will be dearly missed by all who knew her.

Carolyn is survived by her loving spouse, James (Tom) Harmon, daughter, Lisa Sewell (Estep), Granddaughter,Kallista Sewell, Grandsons, Noah and Mason Sewell, Loving Neice, Tonya Sheets.

Her life was also enriched by the lives of many loved ones who predeceased her. Among those were her nephew, Joseph Marshall; sisters, Ruth Ann Etzinger (Sheets) and Mary Ann Norwood (Sheets); daughter, Tammy Marshall (Estep); son, Jeffery Estep; and her first spouse, James Estep. Carolyn is also predeceased by her parents, Glenn and Loretta Sheets.

Known as the 'Garage/Rummage Sales Queen', Carolyn transformed ordinary days into treasure hunts, delighting in the pursuit of hidden gems. Her vibrant personality and warm heart garnered her many meaningful relationships throughout her life.

Passionate about the wellbeing of all living creatures, Carolyn had a great love for the Local Human Society. Her impactful legacy of compassion, kindness, and love for all animals big and small will forever live on. She had an astonishing ability to connect with animals, which was a testament to her kind-hearted nature.

Carolyn's passing is a profound loss for her family, friends, and everyone she touched with her kindness and jovial spirit. As we mourn her departure, we also celebrate her life and the time we've had with her. Her love for life, her passion for all living creatures, and her indomitable spirit will always be remembered and cherished.

Her memory lives on in the hearts of all who loved her, especially her husband, Tom and daughter Lisa. Carolyn's absence is deeply felt, and she will be greatly missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her. Her life was a testament to the power of love, kindness, and compassion, and her legacy will continue to inspire those who knew her. We take comfort in knowing that her spirit will always be with us.
