Carolyn's obituary
Carolyn A. Pleuss, 87, of Haines City, Florida, passed away on Monday, October 6, 2025, shortly after being diagnosed with brain cancer. She took her last breaths with her loving and devoted children, Meredith and Kenneth by her side.
Carolyn grew up in the Bronx, graduating from Adelphi University with a degree in Business. She met her late husband of 54 years, Kenneth L. Pleuss, Sr. on a blind date set up by a close friend of hers. The two married a couple of years later and started their life’s journey together in New Brunswick, NJ.
She was known for her kind and compassionate nature, love for family, and unwavering faith in God.
Carolyn enjoyed cruising on the high seas, travel excursions, playing bingo, doing word searches, and most importantly, spending time with her family.
Carolyn was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth and brother, Robert.
She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law Meredith and Charles Steinberg of Saylorsburg, PA, and her son and daughter-in-law, Kenneth and Christina Pleuss of Davenport, FL. Carolyn also leaves a lasting impression of love and strength with her four grandchildren: Katrina Steinberg, Rhyanna Pleuss, Zachary Pleuss, Hunter Pleuss, and great grandson Rune Pleuss all of which she loved and touched deeply.
Carolyn will be missed tremendously by those that knew and loved her. The family will have a private memorial to celebrate her life.
