She is survived by her son, Ken Lakin, who was her pride and joy. Carolyn was predeceased by her loving spouse, Ray Lakin. Her greatest accomplishments were her children and grandchildren, whom she loved deeply and who were the center of her universe.
Carolyn was a faithful attendee of the Sacred Heart Homestead Church. Her faith was evident in her actions and her life, which was filled with acts of kindness and love. Volunteerism was a major part of Carolyn's life, as she dedicated much of her time to the organization 'Wheel's on Meals'.
A woman of simple pleasures, Carolyn enjoyed her coffee as well as watching her favorite game shows. She had a fondness for the Oklahoma Sooners and never missed a chance to cheer for them. She also found joy and relaxation in playing online games and visiting the beach, one of her favorite local spots.
Grandchildren were a cause that was dear to Carolyn's heart. She made it a point to ensure they knew they were loved and had a haven in their grandmother's home. Her spirit, although quiet, had a magnetic pull that drew others towards her. She believed in living within one's means and shared this wisdom with those around her.
