Obituary for Carolyn Aden Lovelace
Carolyn Aden Lovelace, born on January 19, 1950 in Mckenzie, Tennessee, passed away on November 2, 2025 at her home in Lakeland, Tennessee after an extended illness.
Carolyn was the beloved wife of John Lovelace and the devoted mother of Sean Lovelace and John David Lovelace. She is also survived by her grandchildren Skyler, Aden, Adeline, and Wyatt Lovelace and a large extended family.
She grew up on a family farm in Mckenzie where she learned the values of hard work, faith, and kindness that shaped her life. She graduated from Bethel College and enjoyed a rewarding career as a teacher at Southaven and Sacred Heart Schools.
One of six children, Carolyn shared a close bond with her brothers and sisters, Mary Lee, Tim, Tom, Jane, and Dale. She cherished her family deeply and carried the spirit of a small-town girl wherever she went, yet Carolyn was also an avid traveler. She found joy in discovering new places and meeting new people, always eager to see more of the world’s beauty.
Carolyn was known for her kindness, faith, and joy. She was loved by everyone who knew her and was truly a loyal friend to all. She lived her beliefs every day through her actions, always going out of her way to make others happy. A vibrant presence, she loved Coca Cola, coffee, conversation, and celebrating the holidays. She brought laughter and light into every room she entered. Carolyn had a wonderful sense of humor and a way of turning ordinary moments into treasured memories. Her family and friends will forever remember her stories, laughter, and countless times she made them smile.
A receiving line will be held on Saturday, November 8, from 10 to 11am at Calvary Nazarene Church, 1851 N Houston Levee Rd, Cordova, TN, and a celebration of life will be held from 11-12pm at the same location.
