Carolyn was like my "big sister," living next door to our family when we were young in Bandon. She taught me to bop when I was about 7 years old (and she was 11), to love rock and roll, and to eat Chinese noodles (which her mother made like no other). She always said my father taught her to understand algebra so she could pass 8th grade. I will miss sharing my heart with her, while she shared her wisdom and love with me. Before she, John and David moved to Waco, we often got together for girl/gossip lunches in the Portland area (she was living in Beaverton, and I in Lake Oswego). My wonderful, precious, loving memories will sustain me over the rest of my life. She made a difference in my life, particularly, when I needed her most. Rest in peace, my sweet Carolyn. I'll love you with all my heart forever.
