Carolyn's obituary
Carolyn Anne Aiello, 58, of Sarasota, FL, passed away on May 21, 2024. Fiona, as her friends fondly called her, had a very warm and loving heart. She was known for her selflessness, always willing to help others before herself. Carolyn had a special love for dogs and all animals, domestic and wild, were naturally drawn to her.
Growing up in Fairfield, CT, Carolyn graduated from Andrew Warde High School in 1984. She later spent her adult years in and around Sarasota, FL, where she found joy in the simple things like cruising on her scooter at sunset. Carolyn started her career as a licensed acupuncturist, dedicating herself to holistic healthcare to help those in acute pain. In her free time, she greatly enjoyed gardening and turned that passion into a way to earn money beautifying Florida home landscapes. She also enjoyed making and selling colorful beaded jewelry which was especially popular among beach goers.
Carolyn is survived by her loving mother, Catherine Aiello from Osprey, Fl, now residing in Chapel Hill, NC; older sister, Margaret Rauwald of Chapel Hill, NC; and older brother, Robert Aiello of Chapel Hill, NC. She was preceded in death by her father, Frank Aiello, and her brother, Frank Aiello Jr.
