Elaine Moore - “Windward” Friends
Dear Shelley & Kelley ~ What a shock it was to read that an Easter lily had been placed on the altar “In Memory of Carolyn J. Ahles”. After Carolyn moved from C-2 in “Windward”, and we moved, subsequently in 2004, we had not kept in touch. However, we have many fond memories of fun times shared from 1978 until that time. I remember her bicycling with “Peter” in her basket and our many cocktail parties up at the pool and in each others’ condos. On one occasion, my husband, Max, asked me to show Carolyn the engraving inside of my gold pendant watch. Without wearing her glasses, she looked at it and said, “To My Girl With The HOTS” to which Max replied, “That’s close enough!”. Actually, it read, “To My Girl With The Hats!”. That story has been repeated and enjoyed over and over again for many years! You and your families have our deepest sympathy and we share in your loss. We will never forget Carolyn whom I once considered my “adopted sister”. We loved each other and never a mean word or action passed between us in all the years our friendship flourished. The obituary was so beautifully written and expressed your love, respect and admiration for your dear mother. May you and your families continue to enjoy lovely memories of her “all the days of your lives”❣️ Love & Fondest Memories ~ Max & Elaine Moore
