Caroline's obituary

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Caroline Danae Vliet, born on September 9, 2022, and passed away much too soon on October 13, 2025. Caroline's light was extinguished far before her time, leaving her mother, Erika, father, Jeff, big sister, Vivian, loving extended family, and all who knew her in profound grief.

Best described as pure joy personified, Caroline's bright and silly personality brought a beautiful radiance to every room she entered. With her infectious smile and an ever-present twinkle in her eye, she had a knack for lifting anyone's spirits, making even the darkest days brighter. She taught us that in the face of adversity, we can still find joy, beauty, and silliness to revel in. She truly embodied the adage that joy is the best medicine.

Despite her young age, Caroline showed immense courage and strength against life's toughest battles. She faced an aggressive cancer and five rounds of chemotherapy, an accomplishment that exemplifies her spirit of resilience and determination. She fought bravely, demonstrating an inner strength that transcended her years, inspiring those around her.

A Celebration of Life service for Caroline will be held on October 23, 2025, at 11:00 AM, at the Mount Vernon Country Club, 5111 Old Mill Road. We invite all those whose lives were touched by Caroline's light to join us in commemorating her beautiful life and soul. We encourage you to celebrate Caroline’s life by wearing bright colors, as her favorite color was “rainbow.”

Caroline may have departed this world, but her legacy remains etched in our hearts forever. She leaves us with an irreplaceable void, but also with precious memories of a perfect and beautiful soul. Caroline's presence will forever be missed, but her light continues to shine in our hearts, reminding us of her joy, courage, and undying spirit.
