Caroline's obituary
Caroline Hill, lovingly known as Gammi, passed away peacefully on January 10th at the age of 64, surrounded by those who loved her, and leaving behind a family and community forever changed by her warmth and kindness.
She is survived by her devoted husband, Tony; her daughters, Christine, Gina, and Toni; her brothers, James, David, Michael, and Billy; and her sisters, Betty and Francis.
Gammi's grandchildren were truly her pride and joy — Cameron, Maddox, Charlotte, Hunter, Mika, Luca, Sadie, and Ellie. Being their Gammi was one of her favorite titles and greatest joys in life.
Caroline had a rare gift: she made everyone feel welcome. Her heart was open, her laughter was easy, and her presence brought comfort. She lived by the words "Hakuna Matata” and would often say “no worries," a phrase that perfectly captured her spirt and the calm, loving energy she shared with those around her.
She will be deeply missed, but her love lives on in her family, her grandchildren, and in the many lives she touched simply by being herself. Her legacy lives on in the stories we tell, the traditions we keep, and the love she planted in all of us.
A memorial service will be held at The Cape St Claire Clubhouse on February 8th from 1-6 PM; 1223 River Bay Road Annapolis, Md 21409. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you donate to your local animal shelter and buy yourself a scratch-off in her memory.
She will be deeply missed and forever loved.
“A mother's love is always with her children. Losing a mother is one of the deepest
sorrows a heart can know. But her goodness, her caring, and her wisdom live on-like a legacy of love that will always be with you.“
