Carole's obituary

Carole gained her wings on April 9 at her home in Columbus, surrounded by family. Carole was 78 years old.

Carole's life would seem cut short to many, but those of us who were Blessed to be touched by her understand that her existence and the imprint she left on our hearts exceed the quantity of time that She stayed here. Carole was born in 1944 in Marrietta, Ohio. She was talented and adventurous in many aspects of her life. She was a nurse for over 30+ years, a dream she had always aspired to achieve. She was an avid Counselor to the local AA community and was 44 years sober. She was an impeccable Mother/Sister/Grandmother and friend. She had an amazing laugh and sense of humor, even in her worse moments. When Carole wasn't helping others or her family, she could be found enjoying movies and the company of her dogs. Not a day went by where Carole didn't talk about how much her children and family meant to her. She always said family was arguably her most important achievement in life. Carole is survived by her loving Children, Teresa, Leon, John; her sisters Shirley, Mary, Paula; her Grandchildren Kaylin, Joshua, Justin, Leyla and Darrelle; Great grandchildren Joe, Jordan, Anthony, Ellie, Mia, Janessa and Mateo; and countless friends in the community. Carole was predeceased by her parents Herbert and Hilda Ward.
