Carole's obituary

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Carole Dianna Proud, a beloved wife, mother, friend, and nurse who had a truly inspiring spirit.  Born on July 27, 1939, Carole lived a rich and fulfilling life before departing from us on December 15, 2023.  She will be profoundly missed by her kin, friends, and by all the hearts she touched in her lifetime.

Survived by her devoted daughter Vickie Quinn(Kevin) and daughter, Holly Proud, her two grandchildren Amanda and Colin Quinn and two sisters Cathy Maris (Howard) and Colleen Eberly.   Carole leaves behind a legacy of warmth, love, resilience, and culinary brilliance. Her generous heart and welcoming nature were the source of comfort for many. Those who knew Carole often described her as warm, loving, friendly, and deeply caring. Her brightest qualities will continue to shine in the memories of those who were fortunate enough to know her.

One of Carole's greatest passions was cooking. She presented her love and creativity through the meals she prepared, and her baking was a source of joy for those around her. Not only was it her personal accomplishment, but it was also a life skill that she loved to share with others. Her life lessons from the kitchen will be passed down through generations and will be cherished for many years to come.

Despite her diagnosis with Parkinson’s disease, Carole demonstrated immense strength and spirit. She was a true fighter, facing her challenges with unyielding resilience. What she taught us about courage, tenacity, and dignity in the face of adversity is an invaluable part of her legacy that will inspire and guide all who knew her.

We invite you to join us in a Celebration of Life for Carole on January 28, 2024, at 12 noon.  A luncheon will be held at the Clubhouse at the Village of Buckingham Springs, where Bill and Carole last lived. As we remember Carole, we celebrate not only her life but also the enduring love, warmth, and strength she shared with us.

Carole will live on in our hearts and memories forever.  May her journey onward be filled with peace and love.
