Carole Ellen Ayotte, 81, of Evans, Colorado, passed away on May 6, 2024 in Fort Collins. She was born on June 25, 1942, in Buffalo, NY, to Leonard and Bella VanScoter. 

She attended St. Mary's School for the Deaf in Buffalo and was selected as the schools "May Queen" in 1959. She relocated from Rochester, NY to Pierce, CO in January 1975, with her family to support her husband's career at Kodak. Carole was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.

She worked as a cafeteria cook in Pierce and Nunn for the Highland School District but found her true calling as a dedicated homemaker. 

At the age of 3, she contracted meningitis and lost her hearing in one ear, and mostly in the other. With the use of a hearing aid, she fulfilled a good working career and it didn't hinder her as a great mother.

Carole is survived by her children Scott Ayotte (Andi), Dennis Ayotte, Lisa Ayotte-Osgood (Mark), Tom Ayotte (Nicole), and Matt Ayotte (Cathy).

She is also survived by her brother Douglas VanScoter (Sharon), sisters Joyce Salisbury (late Richard) Gail Adimey (John) and many grand and great-grand children. Carole was preceded in death by her parents, and one granddaughter, Maleah Osgood.
