Carole's obituary

It is with deepest sorrow that we announce the passing of Carole Brusen on March 5, 2026. She was born on December 27, 1942, and stepped into this world with grace and vigor that characterized her entire life. Carole was a shining ray of kindness, an independent spirit, and a beloved member of her community and family.

Carole was born to Lucille and Bill Lecuru, who predeceased her. Even in their absence, she cherished her brother Marvin Lecuru, and sister Darlene baker throughout her life, both of whom she now joins in peace. Carole is survived by her daughters, Carrie and Debi, and her cherished grandkids Jenni, Richie, Rachal, Nic, Jerred, and Jayme, as well as two great-grandchildren. Each of them brought unparalleled joy and love into her life. Carole was fortunate to share many beautiful years with her ex-husband, David Brusen, who has also preceded her in passing.

Carole graduated from Troy High School in Troy, MI, in 1961. Her professional path saw her owning and operating the Perm Station Beauty Salon, Carole R. Brusen Construction & Home Inspections, Inc., and Le Cure's Gallery of Art, Inc. These professional accomplishments were a testament to her determination and passion.

One of her most cherished accomplishments was building her log home, a task that reflected her strong will and determination. She was also an active member at Dale Carnegie groups and an active member of Ascension Lutheran Church.

Carole had a tremendous love for life. Her favorite foods were potato chips, liver & onions, and she always carried a salt shaker everywhere, a testament to her unique spirit. She loved Pepsi-Cola, Dale Carnegie's books, Elvis and Toby Keith's country music. She was a fan of the movies Greece and Nine to Five, and she had a fondness for abstract art. Drawing, photography, and creating dollhouses were her favorite recreational activities. Hawaii was one of her cherished vacation spots, and green was her favorite color. These are among the countless cherished memories that her family and friends will carry in their hearts.

Carole will be remembered as a woman of strength and love. Her legacy lies not only within her successful businesses but in the hearts of her grandchildren, friends, and family who loved her greatly. We will remember Carole for her sweetness, friendliness, strong will, passion, and independent nature. In our hearts, she remains cherished and unforgettable.

At this time, we invite those who knew Carole to celebrate her life and the love she left in each of our hearts.
