🌟 Carole Asnin (1937–2025)
Carole Asnin (who also went by Carol Asnen), a woman of extraordinary vitality, artistic talent, and remarkable professional versatility, passed away peacefully on August 19, 2025, in Los Angeles, California, after a long and courageous battle with Alzheimer’s disease. She was 88 years old.
Born Carole Asnin on June 7, 1937, in Brooklyn, New York, she cultivated a life defined by resilience and an amazing ability to reinvent herself. As a teenager and young woman, she dedicated herself to the arts, performing as a talented ballet dancer with the prestigious Joffrey Ballet.
Her creativity led her into new ventures, first as an interior decorator and then into the art world, working closely with renowned artists like Patrick Nagel and Erte. Her career continued to evolve when she entered the animation industry, working for the legendary Hanna-Barbera. Always embracing a new challenge, she then transitioned into the sports world, working with a remarkable roster of athletes, including icons like Muhammad Ali, Joe Namath, Magic Johnson, and Derek Jeter. In her later years, she found great success as a dedicated real estate agent.
Throughout her life, Carole maintained an avid passion for books and movies, always finding joy in stories and learning. She was perhaps best known for her amazing, self-deprecating sense of humor, a trait that endeared her to all who knew her and allowed her to face every twist of life with wit and grace. Her family remembers her as a "Jedi in the kitchen," whose vibrant meals were only surpassed by the joy and laughter shared around her table.
Carole's greatest love was her family. She is survived by her beloved sons, Doug Barasch and Matt Barasch, and her cherished grandchildren, Naomi and Malcolm.
She was preceded in death by her devoted daughter, the late Stacey Barasch (d. 2019), and her former husband and lifelong friend, Kenneth Barasch (d. 2006).

A service was held on Saturday, August 23rd, 2025. Carole was laid to rest in the Rose Garden at Hollywood Forever Cemetery in Los Angeles, where she joins her beloved daughter, Stacey.
