Carol's obituary
Carol Woodward, 75, of Fridley, MN, passed away 3/4/2024. She was preceded in death by the love of her life (husband) Dean Woodward, two brothers and her sister. She is survived by daughters Valerie (Chris) Flesner, and Deanna (Kevin) Budack, as well as 6 grandchildren, and 7 great-grandchildren.
Carol grew up in McGrath, MN. She had all of her primary education in McGrath, and attended some college in Duluth. She had a life long love of learning and liked to take community education classes, along with reading everything she could get her hands on. She was a natural teacher as well, and was always willing to share whatever knowledge she had.
She spent most of her time in the service of others, in her church callings or baking. She showed love by baking seemingly endless varieties of treats for others, as well as baking and decorating countless cakes for weddings, birthdays, graduations and other celebrations. She loved reading, games (especially cards) and puzzles. She would do anything for her friends and family. She made everyone who knew her laugh, or stare in disbelief at the stories she shared.
Our family is grateful to know that Carol is finally without pain. Services will be held at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints on Wednesday April 10th at 1:30pm. Refreshments to follow, all are welcome.
