We regretfully announce the passing of Carol Ann Clayton Sullivan Trippett, 63, of Fairmont, WV, who passed away on December 20, 2022. Carol had a difficult battle with lung cancer and is finally at rest. 

Carol was a passionate gardener and when she wasn’t busy enjoying the sunshine, she could be found working on a paint-by-number, crocheting or sewing one of her many projects, or reading a book from her vast library. We will miss her greatly. Carol was preceded in death by husband James "Tripp" Trippett; son James Clayton; 1st husband James Sullivan; father Daniel Clayton; 2 beloved cats, Kitty and Cocoa. She is survived by daughter Raye Sullivan-Trippett; mother Rebecca Clayton; sisters Merinda Clayton, Janet Clayton, Kathy Clayton Higgs and her husband William Higgs; nieces Sara Higgs, Jennifer Higgs Mullins and her husband Travis Mullins; nephew Daniel Higgs and his wife Taylor Higgs; several great nieces and nephews; 3 beloved cats, Oreo, Aoife, and Meep.

She will be forever loved and forever remembered. No services will take place, as Carol requested, but we do appreciate your love and support during this difficult time.
