Carol's obituary
Carol cherished her family who will miss her dearly. She had a passion for genealogy and spent years researching, documenting and sharing her information with many family members. For years, in addition to raising her daughters and working full-time, Carol was also very involved in the various communities where she resided by volunteering at hospitals, senior centers and social services. Carol once said, “When I grow up, I want to make a difference, change a mind, save a soul, get a life, ride a horse, write a book, do nutritional counseling, sky-dive, travel to Egypt, live to 120, and oh, yeah, maybe even get my ears pierced!! We all gotta dream!”
Carol is survived by her daughters Kathy (Skaleski) Kullgren of Connecticut and Margaret (Skaleski) Kazanow of Illinois; her grandchildren Travis Kullgren; Sarah, Nicholas and Michael Kazanow; nephew Tim Sutton, nieces Jamie (Patrick) Shifley and Mandy (Bill) Aitken; great-nieces and great-nephews; brothers Mike (Barb) Sutton and Tom Sutton, sister Mary Beth (Paul) Fournier; and aunts and cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents, grandparents, many aunts and uncles, and husband Tim Fitzgerald. A celebration of life will be held at a later date. Donations may be made to Habitat for Humanity.
