We are sad to announce the passing of Carol Sheets. Having lived a full life at age 67, Carol passed away peacefully surrounded by family on June 14, 2023. She spent most her life in Maspeth, Queens and only recently moved to Pearl River, NY.

Carol was born on April 13, 1956 and raised in Randolph, MA. She was one of nine children of Samuel and Corrine Brownell. She was married to Louis Montefusco, with whom she had one son, before they divorced. Years later, she married Daniel Sheets, with whom she remained happily married for 31 years until her passing.

Carol worked several jobs but mostly was a housewife and mother to her children. In her spare time, however, she was a member of the American Legion Post 783, the Moose Club, and the Kowalinski Post. In these organizations, she spent years serving the community by hosting and decorating for various parties and events. She helped organize raffles and cook dinners for various charities, such as the Wounded Warrior Project and Team for Kids.

Carol is survived by her loving husband Daniel Sheets, four children Tony, Jessica, Joseph and Samantha as well as three beautiful grandchildren Brady, Logan and Riley. Carol adored her family and did everything in her power to make them happy. She was very proud of all of their accomplishments, and loved their significant others Danny, Lanz, Alisha and Austin.

Carol loved nothing more than suntanning on the beach with a drink, or sitting in the backyard talking with friends. She loved board games, particularly Scrabble, and Words With Friends. She was an avid game show watcher, and loved movies on LifeTime.

Carol will be missed dearly by many. Visitation will be held on June 19th, 2023 at Kodis Funeral Home in Maspeth, NY from 3-7pm
