Carol J. (Karr) Sadek, age 86, of Stickney, Illinois, passed away peacefully in her home on Thursday, January 15, 2026

She was born on December 13, 1939, in Oak Park, Illinois, to Joseph and Elizabeth Karr. Carol devoted her life to her family as a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She cherished time spent with her loved ones and found her greatest joy in being surrounded by family.

Carol is survived by her children, Donna Purvis, Christie Ray, Jenny Sadek, and Deanne Fritz; her grandchildren, Wesley Higgins, Nicky Purvis, Jody (Kristen) Walters, Jessica Walters, Jamie Ray, Katie Fritz, and Jake Walters; and her great-grandchildren, Camden Higgins, Alauna Higgins, Gavin Walters, Miles Walters, and Nova Walters.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph and Elizabeth Karr; her husband, Bruce Sadek; her son, Jody Sadek; her siblings, Robert Karr and Sharon (Karr) Karovic; and her great grandchild, Zaine Higgins.

A celebration of life will be held at a future date. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the American Heart Association.
