We regretfully announce the passing of Mrs. Carol Puckett of Matthews, NC on January 10, 2023. Carol was surrounded by her loved ones and passed away peacefully.

Our mother and wife, Carol, was one of the strongest yet gentlest women to ever walk this earth and our family was blessed to have her as the head of the family. Carol graduated from Ft. Mill High and went on to Presbyterian School of Nursing. After graduating, she went on to pursue a career in nursing, eventually working her way into managing as the Director of Surgical Services at Mercy Hospital where she was in charge of 200 employees in the OR for 24 years. She took pride in helping to build and design new operating room and as a manager she was skillful at using people to their best strengths. After retirement she became very involved  with church community at living way. She loved helping organize ( manage, lol) events and was the lead on organizing her church’s operation Christmas child. This organizations goal or getting not only the gospel but also essential things to those at the far corners of the earth is what truly motivated her and earned her the nickname Christmas Crazy Carol. 

She is survived by her husband Phil, daughter Cassie (son in law Harry) and sister Beverly.  Carol was a wonderful and loving mother who gave her all to her family. We will never be able to fill the space left behind by her.

Services will be held on Saturday January 14th 2023 at Living Way Church 5501 Old Monroe Rd. Indian Trail, NC  Visitation at 2-3pm with service to follow.
