Carol's obituary
Carol Lee Palmer, born in Tewksbury, Massachusetts, passed away peacefully on June 24, 2025, with her three devoted children by her side. She was 77 years old.
She married Paul E. Palmer in 1969 in Reading Massachusetts, then relocated to Lowell where they raised their family. Though Carol and Paul divorced in 2024, the family they built remained her proudest legacy.
Carol was a devoted bus driver for Tri-Creek school corporation. She spent 33 years safely transporting generations of children to and from school. She also held other jobs to support her children and ensure they had every opportunity to pursue their interests and thrive. Her tireless work ethic was matched only by her kind heart and quiet perseverance. She left a lasting impression on her community.
She cherished time spent with her family and friends, especially her three children Jacqueline Hyde (Bryan Hyde), Ronald Palmer (Heather Palmer) and Christine McDonald. She is survived by her ten beloved grandchildren– Bryan Hyde jr., Kyle Hyde, Felicia Decker(Brady Decker), Ayden Hyde, Elyjah Hyde, Jake Lambert (Kelly Lambert), Kayli Oliver, Benjamin McDonald, Griffin Palmer, and Grayson Palmer–-and three great-grandchildren: Bryan Oliver Hyde, Kinzley Decker and Roaslie Decker. She was preceded in death by her parents Ronald Tasker and Ruth Tasker(née Lovejoy), her brother Alan Tasker, (though they are gone , their memories remained close to her heart always) and her birth mother Leona Chase.
Carol found joy in the simple and beautiful things–tending to her flower garden, watching birds, walking along the beaches and collecting lighthouses. Despite facing a long medically complicated journey, she lived with grace, humor and resilience, never losing her spark.
As per her wishes a private remembrance gathering will be held for immediate family. In time her ashes will be lovingly scattered at the camp that meant so much to her–a place that forever held her heart.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made to the National Kidney Foundation of Indiana (https://www.kidneyindiana.org…) in Carol’s honor.
Carol’s strength, generosity, and warmth touched everyone who knew her. Her legacy lives on in the laughter of her grandchildren, the love of her children, and the enduring memories she leaves behind. She will be deeply missed and forever loved.
