We’re so sorry to hear the news on Carol. She was a family friend and our parents were great friends. She will be missed. May GOD be with her family and wrap his arms around them.. we love this family. Tina (Metherd) Hodges
What a special person Carol was. I feel like I've been friends with her since forever. When we first met she was always thinking of fun things to do, whether going dancing or to the mountains for a little gambling. She loved to read and was always introducing me to a new author (met my favorite author through her). She always had advice to help. I moved away and we stayed in touch, but rarely got to see her. Praying for Kenny, Gayle, Colin and her brothers and their families! May your memories help to ease the sorrow and bring comfort to you!!
Carol had such a loving, caring, giving heart! She helped many of us SPiTters with anything we needed help with! She will be missed by all of us! Love and prayers to all her family and friends!❤️🙏🙏🙏❤️
Carol was like a second mom to me. Always got to see her after school when we did our nails in the front room. Or going to my first tea party. She was an amazing mom. She would laugh at all the crazy things that me and Gayle did to not get in trouble. She had so many amazing hobbies I'll always remember her my thoughts and prayer go out to the family. So sorry love you all. ❤️
Our heart felt condolences go out to Kenny and Gayle in the loss of Carol who was a dedicated wife, mother and friend to all of us who knew her. We met Carol and Kenny in Newport News Virginia while Kenny was in the Navy on the USS Enterprise. We enjoyed many meals, laughs and good times together. Carol taught our oldest son swimming lessons. They had what seemed never ending fun together in the pool. We visited each other numerous times over the years. Our trips to Denver and theirs to the East Coast always felt like we had never been a part no matter how many years between visits. Carol was a friend like everyone needs for over fifty years. Carol and Kenny are and were genuine people that made their friendship with us very special. Our prayers are with Kenny and the family during this most difficult of times.
