One of my favorite memories about aunt Carol.

One day, she had taken me in her car. We were singing at the the top of our lungs. I was about 8 yrs old. She let me me be free that way. Never stopped me from my imagination. At a red light I asked if I could hop out and pick wild flowers. To my surprise, she let me. She even had to circle around and U-turn bc I I took too long. To this day, and have those wildflowers pressed and kept.

She is so special to me.  She loved my dad when no no one else did. She is a part of my heart I'll never get back. I'm so grateful for her. Even when we argued, I knew it was always in love. I could write a book about the good and hard times with her. But our family lost a pillar that will never be replaced.

Cindy Smith: Our hearts go out to John, to Christina, David and Brian as we remember Your wife and Mom. Carol was such a natural teacher, counselor, and intercessor. We shared together in several ministries as Cleansing Streams, Bridge Builders and Prayer Ministry while at MCC. We pray God’s Holy  Spirit would comfort your hearts. Carol will be your greatest cheerleader in that great cloud of witnesses.
Carol was Such a Strong and Loving Friend and Counselor in our years together at MCC!  I Cherished her Friendship!  She was a Great Treasure to all those who knew her, or came in contact with her!  We are So Sorry for your Loss!  Know that we will be keeping all of you in our prayers!  All of us can be So Thankful to God for making Carol So Special as she was, and for giving each of us the very Meaningful and Blessed time that we had with her!  She was like a piece of heaven, of God revealing a little more of Himself to us through her.  She was a Beautiful and Wonderful conduit of Him to us!  Thank you Lord for the time that you gave each of us with Carol, and for making her who she was!

Growing up, Carol was one of the adults I was around the most, through church, Bridge Builders and most of all being close friend with David and Brian. I’ve never been much of an eloquent talker but I’ve always tried to be a good listener and Carol loved to covey wisdom, encouragement and humor with every conversation. Whenever I came over to hang out with David or Brian, her kindness and laughter filled the living room, den or kitchen. Her commitment to prayer and scripture reading pushed me in my own walk with Jesus. Every time we had a sleepover, I would find her with her Bible studying the word and seeking God  with a fanatical level of integrity. Though I have not seen her in person for many years now, I will never forget the powerful effect she had on me as a strong Christian influence in my younger years who always pointed me to Christ.
Aunt Carol was a dedicated wife, mother, friend, and teacher. She was so proud of Christina, Brian, and David and their families and absolutely beamed when she spoke of her grandchildren. My fondest memories of her is when my dad (Frank), Uncle Walt, and her would talk about things that happened as they were growing up. I also enjoyed many "teacher" conversations with her over the last decade. My prayers and thoughts are with everyone as they grieve this loss.

Carol was such a good daughter and sister. I always recall her being by her moms side always visiting the family and her brothers. She sure was a good sister making time to be present and spend time with them.

My husband has wonderful memories of her and he misses her. We know she is in peace and in a better place and that brings much comfort.
