My deepest condolences Donneil, Omar, & Natasha! Your mom was a beautiful soul, sophisticated and poised. I remember being a child living across the street from you guys in Cambria Heights, watching her go to and from work stepping in high heels like she was walking in a pair of sneakers!
Sleep in peace Ms. Henry forever in my heart!🙏🏾❤

Carol was my first in-law and she was special. Her home was the first home away from home I ever experienced. I remember the first meal she made in her new house. (meat Loaf).
May Allah grant her paradise!

Carol my sister, my friend. One of the most unselfish humans I have ever had the pleasure to know. Always looking for the best in people. Always willing to meet people where they are without judgment. A shoulder to cry on; an ear to listen. I am sure there are so many people whose lives were so much better just because of Carol’s kindness and warmth. So rest my dear sister, Job well done! With all my love Leverne.

My heart was broken when I heard of Carol’s passing. I worked with her at Smith Barney. She was more than a co-worker. She was a friend, mentor and a second mom to me. My 18th birthday party was planned by Carol and it’s one of the most memorable birthdays I have ever experienced, that is still talked about today amongst family and friends. She will be missed dearly.
Thank you Donneil, Omar and Natasha for sharing your mom with me.
Love and prayers go out to the family, friends and loved ones.

Dear Donneil, Omar and Natasha.
Your mom was a beautiful, genuine and classy lady. I liked her from our first meeting when she was only a teenager. Over the years, anytime we met for family events at her home or elsewhere, I always enjoyed her company.
It had been many years since I last saw Carol. But I am so grateful to have been blessed to see her and to spend time with all of you a few months ago. She and I had a chance to talk and catch up. We even took a picture together. I will always treasure that time.
Your mom did a great job raising you three. I know she was proud of her children. And you were wonderful to her. You honored her by fulfilling the 5th Commandment. May God bless each of you and grant you peace.
Love,
Aunt Claudette

Dear Donneil, Omar, and Natasha,
"Aunt" Carol has always had a special place in my heart. What a warm and sweet soul. Although I didn't get to spend much time with her, any time I did, I felt her love. She was a classy, beautiful and sophisticated yet down-to-earth person who raised three exceptional children. My deepest condolences to you, my dear cousins.
With love and many prayers,
Your cousin,

Carol, my sister-in-law, was like a big sister to me. When I met her, I was only five years old and throughout the years she was consistently compassionate, warm and interested in what was happening in the lives of her family and friends. I recall that Carol enthusiastically planned day trips into Manhattan and would often take me and my younger siblings on boat rides. A visit to Carol's home in Cambria Heights was always welcoming and fun because of her warm heart, great spirit and excellent cooking skills. As a grew into adulthood, Carol was always happy to celebrate my accomplishments and would often say, "stop and smell your roses." I also remember Carol and my late mother, Bay, spending countless hours on the phone laughing and discussing everything from cooking to how to raise children. What I loved most about Carol is how well she raised my nieces and nephew, Donneil, Omar and Natasha. She poured her heart and soul into these three children who have grown into phenomenal adults. I know that Carol is proud of her children, as we all are. I pray that God eases the pain of Donneil, Omar and Natasha during this sad time and know that we all love you and are here for you.
Your Aunt, Khadijah Muhammad-Starling

When I think about Carol, I think about Love & Grace. That is how I viewed her. She was a loving person with a big heart and a graceful soul. Even though she was my Sister in Law, when she came into our family, I immediately loved her like a Sister.
The last time I saw her, I whispered in her ear it was so good to see her and she whispered back, I love being around the family.
Carol was an extraordinary woman and she was an exceptional Mother and Grandmother.
To my Nieces and Nephew, I don't need to tell you what a wonderful person your Mother was. You know better than us all. Her memory is woven into your soul and she will always be with you.
Love Always,
Aunt Debra

Carol was like a sister to me. Our families are very close. My mother ( Johnnie mae) and Carol mother (Marjorie) were best friends. Carol and I grew up in the same housing development located on the Lower Eastside of Manhattan. Our families shared so many special occasions. Since there was no girls in my family, Carol was my designated big sister. We both stay close even after raising our own family. I will miss my sister advice and wonderful smile. Carol was a phenomenal woman, a perfectionist and giving person. She was also very proud and private individual who loved her family and friends dearly. I will never forget you big sister. Rest in peace.
