Carol's obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Carol Lynn Haselwood on July 22, 2024. Born on August 9, 1960, Carol lived a life filled with warmth, love, and dedication to her family and her passions.
Carol is survived by her loving daughters, Terri Gloudemans and Megan Haselwood, and her cherished grandsons, Dexter and Gideon Gloudemans. Her world revolved around her family, and she proudly embraced her role as a grandmother, providing unwavering support for her two autistic grandsons.
She was a woman of varied interests and tastes. Her favorite meals ranged from the Teriyaki Beef Bowl from her beloved Thai Restaurant, to homely Velveeta Mac & Cheese, Her eldest daughters homemade tortillas, and Chicken Enchiladas. Carol was also partial to sweet Pepsi with Real Sugar and a warming cup of white chocolate mocha coffee.
Carol found joy and escape in the pages of romance novels and works by JD Robb. Her love for music was defined by the rock melodies of Queen and the anthems of Journey. She was also an avid television watcher, with shows like NCIS, Law & Order, Blue Bloods, Buffy The Vampire Slayer, and Criminal Minds among her favorites.
When it came to film, Carol found joy in the action and drama of Independence Day and Twister, as well as the romantic narratives of Love Actually. Purple, a color signifying mystery and magic, was her favorite - a reflection of her charming and lively spirit.
Carol was a fierce protector and an advocate for her children, standing up for them as they grew up. Her love extended to animals, which she cherished deeply. She will be profoundly missed by her family, friends, and all who knew her.
Her passing leaves a void that can never be filled. But her spirit, her love, her resilience live on through her daughters and grandsons. Her memory will forever be treasured, and she will always be remembered for her unwavering love and support. Rest in peace, Carol.
