Carol's obituary
Around 4pm, on August 20th, 2025, Carol Ruth Belk finished her earthly fight and she entered into the joy of being with her savior, Jesus. She is no longer in pain. She is no longer sick. She is rejoicing before the throne of God.
As I have tried to figure out how to post this and I have sent messages to many today, the lyrics my wonderful wife posted say it best.
“So let it be today we shout the hymn of Heaven. With angels and the saints, we raise a mighty roar. Glory to our God who gave us life beyond the grave. Holy, holy is the Lord.” (Hymn of Heaven Phil Wickham)
For now we grieve this loss here on earth, but rejoice that this is not the end. We have an eternal hope in Jesus Christ, for all those that have been called and adopted by the Father, that this life on earth, was just the beginning, and the best is yet to come.
1 Peter 1:3-5 (ESV)
[3] Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! According to his great mercy, he has caused us to be born again to a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, [4] to an inheritance that is imperishable, undefiled, and unfading, kept in heaven for you, [5] who by God’s power are being guarded through faith for a salvation ready to be revealed in the last time.
