Carmon's obituary

It is with profound sorrow that we announce the passing of Carmon Denny, a loving family man and selfless friend. He was born on November 7, 1952 to Walter and Evelyn Denny in Malone, NY. Carmon left us peacefully on July 11, 2025 at the age of 72.

Carmon was the beloved husband of Sheree Denny, having shared 50 years of marriage since their union in 1975. A devoted father, he is survived by his son, Brent Denny (Brenda) of Malone, NY, his daughter, Sarah Tremblay (Shawn) of Lake Placid, NY; and his five cherished grandchildren, Dylan Denny, Abigail Denny, Kelly Denny, Brady Tremblay, and Juliana Tremblay.

Carmon is also survived by his two sisters, Elaine Lester and Sharon Satterlee and several nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by his parents, Walter and Evelyn Denny, and his brothers, Mark Denny and Philip Denny, as well as a sister, Janine Jones.

Carmon graduated from Franklin Academy in Malone, NY, in 1971, and went on to serve his country in the Army and National Guard from 1971-1977. Carmon went on to work as a well known painting and drywall contractor, then was employed by NYS Department of Corrections until his retirement in 2007.

In Carmon’s teens years he had a love for motorcycles.  Later he enjoyed hunting, fishing, boating, snowmobiling, horseshoes, raising beef cattle, golfing, e-bowling, and spending time with family and friends on Chateaugay Lake. He also was a member of the Amvets for many years in Malone and later in Zephyrhills, FL. He was a social, fun-loving man who made friends wherever life took him. He enjoyed embellished storytelling and the occasional practical joke. His blue eyes and contagious smile will never be forgotten.

A Celebration of Life for Carmon will be held on August 23, 2025, at 2:00 PM, at Amvets Post 8, in Malone, NY. It will be a time to share memories, laughter, and tears as we honor the life of a man who touched the hearts of all who knew him. Dinner will be provided, and all are welcome. Bringing a dish to pass is greatly appreciated.
