Nellie passed away on July 17, 2022 surrounded by all those that loved her. Born on December 24, 1940, she spent 81 wonderful years spreading joy to any and all around her. A comfort to many and a joy to all, most of her time was spent taking care of her family and her friends.

When she was just 21 she moved to Miami, FL  from Montego Bay, Jamaica and met Leroy Sheffield. Leroy and Nellie spent her early years together where they raised their 6 beautiful children: Sandra, Lionel, Ruqaiyah, Kim, Leroy, Khalid. Later in life, she enjoyed sewing, cooking, and spending time with family. A loving and wonderful woman until the very end, she will be greatly missed.
