Carmen's obituary

Carmen Maldonado, 66, of Chino, CA, passed away on May 15, 2022 after a year long  battle with pancreatic cancer.

Carmen was born on May 17,1955 to Luis and Guadalupe Maldonado  in Bernalejo, Jalisco Mexico . She then moved  to the United States at the early age of 17 to join her sister Bertha and find work of her own caring for children. Years later she met and married a man whom she created 2 beautiful daughters with, Monica and Brenda Bernal. She over came a difficult marriage but went on to be wonderful mother despite her tribulations . After a separation Carmen found love again and met Ramiro, a hard working dedicated, respectful man whom she later created 2 wonderful boys, Dario and Osvaldo Plascencia. Carmen went on to live her life in Compton California to be a dedicated, hard working, loving , caring , involved house wife.  Years later, her partner purchased a home in Chino California where they went on to continue their lives. Years passed and Carmen was diagnosed with Colon Cancer which she eventually overcame after surgery and chemo. Carmen always saw the brighter things in life and was thankful . She loved traveling, nature, nurturing, the color green, and just being there for her family. In early 2021 Carmen was diagnosed with Pancreatic cancer, she fought hard but did suffer a lot from the terrible disease.  On May 15, 2022 a year after her diagnosis and two days before her birthday, Carmen died peacefully surrounded by her children, life partner and sister. Although the pain she has left behind is grand, we are so thankful for everything she gave us, taught us and how much she loved us. She will be missed eternally, but we are ok to say she is no longer in pain and the Lord now has her in his arms, she is free. Mom, until we meet again We love and Miss you always.

Carmen is survived by her life partner Ramiro, daughter Monica and Brenda, sons Dario and Osvaldo, grandchildren Richelle, Ivan, Damian, Bryan, Brielle, Olivia and Laila, her 13 siblings, nieces, nephews and friends.
