Carmelita(Carmen) Guadalupe Valles, 72 of Desert Hot Springs, CA, died at home surrounded by loved ones, after an extended battle with Multiple Myeloma on January 13, 2026. 

She was born in Los Angeles on January 6, 1954, to Gavino and Marcia Valles. Carmen graduated from Cajon High School and graduated from Cal State San Bernardino with a Bachelor of Arts Degree. Carmen worked for several banks in the Coachella Valley, Yucca Valley, and Beaumont as a construction loan officer. She later volunteered for Grid Alternatives Solar Company and then several solar companies in the Coachella Valley as a project manager. Carmen was active in several community organizations in Desert Hot Springs.

Carmen was preceded in death by her father(Gavino), mother(Marcia), and Brothers Steve and Danny. Carmen is survived by her life partner, Marcia Francois, and brother Randy.

A Celebration of Life will be held this Spring per Carmen's request. May 16th, 2026, will be Carmen's Celebration of Life.
