Carl Washington, 78, of Bolingbrook, IL, passed away on April 27, 2023 after a complications of Parkinson’s Disease.

Carl was born on August 17th, 1944 to Benjamin Washington & Marcella Lyons in Brooklyn, NY. After Carl graduated from Automotive High School, in Brooklyn in 1962, he went on to join the United States Air Force.

After being honorably discharged in 1968, he started his first job at Exxon Corporation, kickstarting a 4 year career. Carl later went on to work for CNA insurance company.

In 1964, Carl Washington met phyllis A Smith at the corner of Phyllis’ block. Carl Washington and Phyllis Washington went on to have 2 children, Chaparral Washington and Sonia Balderas.

In 1998, Carl retired and started his own carpet cleaning business. He also spent his time Medal Detecting, bicycling, collecting coins, and capturing breath taking photos.

Carl was predeceased by his father, Benjamin Washington, Mother, Marcella Lyons, Oldest sister Jackie and youngest brother Bruce Washington. He is survived by his wife, Phyllis, son, Chaparral & daughter, Sonia. He is also survived by his grandkids. Sonia, Justin, Arielle, Julian, Alexis, Adriana, Tyrell, Vanessa & Sedrick

Services will be held at Word of Life Church on Monday, may 1st at 2pm.
