It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Carlton "Frankie" Sydnor, who left this world on August 26, 2025. Born on June 10, 1961, Carlton lived his life to the fullest, lighting up every room with his infectious smile and warm spirit.

Though he was known to some as Frankie, Carlton was the name he preferred. Beloved by all, he will be profoundly missed by his family and friends. Carlton is survived by his son, Carlton Sydnor, his sisters, Vanessa Broughton, Margaret Brown, Gladys Sydnor, and Natasha Thornton, and his brothers, Willie Sydnor, Nikki Logan, Efrem Sydnor, and Charles Sydnor.

In life, Carlton was predeceased by his mother, Christine Sydnor, his brother, James Sydnor, his niece, Shakima Jones, and his step-father, Marvin Logan.

Carlton took great pleasure in the simpler things in life. He favored meals of chicken, macaroni and cheese, yams, green vegetables, and his aunt's homemade biscuits. In his leisure time, there was nothing Carlton enjoyed more than the company of his best friend and brother, Duran Buck. A lover of suspense and thrill, he frequently indulged in horror movies, delighting in the frissons they provided.

Carlton's passing leaves a void that will never be filled. He touched many lives with his kindness and generosity. His zest for life and indomitable spirit will live on in the memories of those who knew and loved him.

During this difficult time, our thoughts and prayers are with his family. May they find comfort in the memories they shared and the knowledge that Carlton's spirit will continue to shine bright in all who knew him.
