It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Carlos Guzman, a cherished father, grandfather, and valued member of the Garfield, New Jersey, community. Carlos passed away peacefully on November 10, 2025, at the age of 84.

Born on May 7, 1941, Carlos lived a life defined by hard work, humor, and a deep devotion to his family and friends. He was a long-time resident of Garfield, living at 98 Belmont Ave, where he was a constant, friendly presence in the neighborhood.

Carlos will be remembered for his infectious smile, generous spirit, and ability to find humor in everyday life. He was a man who gave the shirt off his back to those in need, prioritizing his family above all else. His legacy of kindness and dedication will forever live on in the hearts of those who had the good fortune to know him.

He is survived by his loving wife, children, grandchildren, siblings, and many nieces and nephews.

The family requests that, in lieu of flowers, donations be made to a charity of your choice in Carlos's memory.

We invite all who knew and loved Carlos to join us as we celebrate his life and bid a final farewell. He will be deeply missed.
