The earthly life of Carlos Peter Flores came to its end on March 4, 2020, at the shores of Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. He was gifted to his parents Anna Marie Polvi and Fernando Ayala Flores, and his big brother Fernando Antonio, by Our Lord 46 years ago. On July 28, 1973 Carlos began his life in Chicago, Illinois. There he treasured times spent with his large and beloved family. He will be joining his grandparents Evelyn and Arthur Polvi and Bruno Flores, and brother Alexander, and 3-month old son Bruno Alexander, in everlasting life. His surviving grandmother, Raquel Gonzalez, aunts, uncle, and cousins all miss him dearly.
After leaving the big city with his mother and brother at the age of 5, he spent the next 41 years embracing the culture of the Deep South, attending schools in Georgia and South Carolina. He loved people, and found the opportunities to travel all over the US, including Hawaii and Jamaica. Carlos also loved watersports, skateboarding, nature, music, and the many wonderful friends who shared these experiences with him.
His graveside service follows the noon mass at Our Lady of the Lake, Chapin, South Carolina. Visitors are invited to offer prayer in the Mass, before the memorial at Our Lady of the Lake Cemetery.
