Background
Hello,
A lot of you must know who I am but let me introduce myself, my name is Micaela Chapman daughter and youngest child of my father Carlos Chapman. On Monday January 29th 2024, my father made his ascension to heaven, at St Johns Hospital surrounded by loved ones, to unite with his Mother and Father and 4 Sisters. Carlos leaves behind sister Ruth Chapman, 2 sons Martin and Michael Chapman and two daughters Melissa and Micaela Chapman, 6 grandkids and many other family and friends who loved him dearly. Carlos serviced as the Fire Engineer for Ventura County Fire Department for 45 years. He proudly served his community and was truly passionate about what he did. He was truly a hero and inspiration in so many eyes of his peers. Carlos was a member of St Thomas Aquinas Church in Ojai where he volunteered and served as a Eucharistic Minister. Later in his life, after moving back to Ventura from Ojai, he was a parishioner of Our Lady of Assumption Church in Ventura. Carlos truly was a selfless man and acted with kindness and care towards everyone. He will truly be missed by so many.
Carlos's dedication to serving and supporting others was also displayed in his attendances to many retirement celebrations, birthdays, and funeral services for family and friends. With all the willingness to help his entire family, he could not leave anything behind for them to assist in paying to lay him to rest. It is so hard to grieve with the burden of the need for financial support to lay my father to rest.
I am asking for your assistance to donate what you can to help our family lay my father to rest. Being that I myself am currently unemployed after a layoff, and my sister is limited on work hours due to a medical disability we are stretched as far as we can go. My father also covered a majority of the rent where my sister and her two children live and now that he is gone it leaves the family in financial hardship. The entire Chapman Family appreciates any donations and all the love and support during this difficult time. Contribute
