Big Carlo's obituary
Born on July 27, 1947, Carlo led a life defined by dedication and adventure. He spent over 55 years as a private pilot and on-the-road truck driver before retiring to Columbus in 2022. His passion for flying was matched by his love of gardening, enjoying fine Cuban cigars, and volunteering at children's events—causes close to his heart.
Carlo is survived by his beloved wife, Sylvia; sons Carlo Jr. (wife Diana and sons Carlo III and Andre), Carlito (wife Asuka and daughter Mya) of Brooklyn, NY; Carmelo (son Bruno); and Carmine of Columbus. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Claudette of Staten Island, NY; adopted daughters Janiyah and Kehlani of Peoria, IL; and angel grandchild Sam of Washington Court House, OH.
Private services for close friends and family will be held on February 7, 2026, prior to his final burial in New York on February 10, 2026.
