Carlie James Doss Sr., known to his loved ones as Jamie, passed away on October 8, 2023, at the age of 78 in Kent, Washington. He was born on January 4, 1945, in Mobile, Alabama. Jamie was funny, knowledgeable, and  a handyman who loved geography and was known for his storytelling.

Jamie is survived by his wife, Connie Starlene Doss, and his children Carlie James Jr., Janine Doss, Arliss Emil, Aqueelah Doss, Carlotta Starlene Doss, and Charlietha Justene Doss.11Grandchildren and 4 Great Grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews He is also survived by his sister Myrtle Louise Hinesmon, brothers Herbert Nelson III, Mario L Nelson, Walter A Nelson, Alphonso M. Nelson, Joseph A. Nelson, and sister Delores A Nelson. Jamie was preceded in death by his parents, Charly and Lillian Doss, his sister Charlietha Relalliton Doss, brother Willie O'Neal Duboise, and son Henry Carlo Doss.

Jamie attended Lindon Academy in Lindon, Alabama and Garfield High School in Seattle, WA. He proudly served in the United States Army. he studied the art of sheet metal and  had an amazing career at Todd Shipyard and Go-Dan Industries where he later retired from. In his free time Jamie enjoyed fishing, camping, supporting The Seahawks, The Mariners and watching NASCAR he also was an avid people watcher. 

He will be greatly remembered and fiercely missed he would want to be celebrated and for every one to be happy if he was still here and we were crying in the wise words of my Dad he would state. I don’t feature that. Love you Dad.
