Carla Renee Ross, 55, of Ringgold, Virginia, passed away peacefully on March 8, 2026.

Carla was born on June 26, 1970, in Danville, Virginia, to Carl Neal and Barbara Gaye Johnson. She spent her life in the community she called home and was known for her caring heart and the love she had for her family.

Carla attended George Washington High School and later continued her education at Danville Community College. Throughout her life, she found joy in simple and meaningful moments, especially time spent with those she loved most.

She had a deep love for traveling to the beach and the mountains, places where she felt peace and happiness. Whether enjoying the sound of the waves or the quiet beauty of the mountains, those moments reflected her appreciation for life and the world around her.

Above all else, Carla cherished her family. She loved gathering with loved ones, sharing laughter, and creating memories that will live on in the hearts of those who knew her.

Carla is survived by her devoted husband, Donald Steven Ross; her daughter, Whitney Dalton; her brother, Carl Johnson Jr.; her stepchildren, Leanna Ross, Kathryn Clark (Michael), and Jessie Ross (Sonny); and her beloved grandson, Lucas Ross.

She will be remembered for her love of family, her kind spirit, and the special place she held in the lives of those who knew her. Her memory will continue to live on in the hearts of her family and friends.
