Carla Davis, 59, beloved wife, mother, Honey, sister and friend passed away Monday, August 9, 2022. A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, August 13, 2022, at 11:00 AM at St Andrew By The Sea in Gulf Shores, Alabama (17263 Fort Morgan Road). A celebration of life in Opelika, Alabama will take place on August 20; time and location to be announced.
Carla was preceded in death by her mother, Jean Morgan, her father Billy Thompson and step mother Jan Thompson.
Loving survivors include her husband of 40 years, Clint Davis; her children, Chase (Kim) Davis, Chandler (Nicole) Davis. Grandchildren (Colt, Harper, Livvy, Graham, Hudson, Carter). Her sister, Karen Flournoy (Allen), brothers, Robbie Lumpkin (Carina), Chris Thompson (Lindsay); sisters and brothers in law, Tammy Mathews (Will), Scott Davis (Christy); Step father, Jimmy Morgan (Gale); Nieces and Nephews (Kallen Grigsby (Dallas), Ryan White (Liz), Haley White (Hunter), Grey Davis (Jana), Ansley Davis and numerous great nieces and nephews.
Born and raised in Opelika, Alabama, her love for the sand and beach brought her to Gulf Shores 19 years ago. Carla was one of the most amazing people you would ever meet. Wherever she went, Carla lit up a room with her beautiful smile and contagious laugh. She never met a stranger and always made everyone she met feel loved. Out of all her roles being a Honey to her 6 grandchildren was one of her favorites. Co-owner of Davis-White Salon, Carla knew how to make a head of hair beautiful. Carla had been a hair stylist for over 40 years and considered all of her clients and co-workers family. For over 7 years Carla fought a tough battle of cancer with nothing but grace and determination; just like her.
In Lieu of flowers, the family has requested donations be made to the cancer foundation of your choice or St Andrew By The Sea.
