Christmas 2021 - Festivus pole — with Carl and Brandon Mall

We met Carl when his sister, Yvonne, married our son, Brandon. We spent Christmases together whenever we could, and this photo was taken, sadly, at what we didn’t know would be the last one with he and Marian. He was a huge Seinfeld fan, so he and Brandon made a Festivus pole as a funny salute to that episode! He was a really funny guy, very laid back, avid sports fan, and a wonderful uncle to Juni! I wish he could have stayed around to meet Rowan, too.  He and Yvonne were so close, and his passing, and her mom’s soon after, have left huge holes in her family. We count ourselves lucky to have known them both, and to become family for too short a time! May they both rest in peace with our Lord! Praying for Yvonne and her family to stay strong and know they live on in their hearts! 🙏🏻❤️😔🕊️
