Carl's obituary

Carl John Moser, born in Bismarck, ND, on April 29, 1959, died of a heart attack in his Fargo, ND, home on June 14, 2024, at the age of 65. He completed his education at St. Joseph’s Elementary School (Mandan, ND), Mandan High School, University of Mary School of Respiratory Care (Bismarck), and Rush University (Chicago), where he earned a B.S. in Perfusion Technology. He worked as a perfusionist for many years in Jacksonville, FL, before moving to Fargo, ND, in 2023, where he continued his career in health care.

Carl was an avid body-builder during his early adulthood, eventually achieving the status of ‘Mr. North Dakota’. Working out, whether at the gym lifting weights or outdoors riding his bicycle, was fulfilling to him. He cherished his health, inspiring his children to do the same. Carl treasured the outdoors and nature, particularly the ocean, where he found peace. He was passionate about sharing his love for the ocean by exploring beaches across Florida with his children. He also loved artwork, bright colors, and various sports on ESPN. The pride of his life, however, was his children, to whom he was a devoted father. His children describe him as a hardworking, determined, honorable man and a loving father. They will always consider him to be their hero. He is deeply missed.

Carl is survived by his four children, Carly Moser Schlosser (Mandan), Savannah Moser (Phoenix), Sophia Moser (Phoenix), and Cruise Moser (Grand Forks, ND), his brother, Paul K. Moser (Chicago), his nephew, Kye A. Silbernagel (Mandan), his nieces Anna Moser Walsh and Laura Moser Beder (both of Chicago), and two grandchildren from Carly, Ford (2 years) and Opal (7 months). He was preceded in death by his parents, Kenneth J. Moser and Helen J. Moser (both of Mandan), and his sister, Laura Moser Silbernagel (Mandan).  Three noteworthy surviving relatives are Bernadette 'Bunny' (Moser) Greig (Mandan), Urban A. Silbernagel (Mandan), and Georgia (Wetzstein) Cantwell (Osage Beach, MO).
