So sorry for your loss. Although I haven't seen Carl since he was a boy he and his family has always been in our hearts 💖. We were all friends when they lived in Ky. May you rest in peace my sweet Carl . On behalf of the Toy family. You were and always will be a honorary Toy. Much Love and you are in our prayers.

Saturday morning — with carl mcclain and Marla McClain

I loved my big brother. He was my Saturday morning cartoon and breakfast partner. The good ole days of true cartoons-Pink Panther, Looney Tunes, Speed Racer, Justice League, Scooby Doo, and Winnie the Poo. (Exit stage left will carry a new meaning) There wasn’t a holiday that he didn’t call or text to say Charlie Brown’s on tonight. These were and are important memories because they were our times to forget the daily stresses of life as adults and just bond as brother and sister. Watching our Christmas cartoon classics and shopping singing “just put one foot in front of the other” which is what I will have to remind myself to do each day as I find difficult to do without you.

I love you, Carl,  even when you tried to teach me to walk before my time, flinging me up in the air from a tree branch with Mom yelling get her down, shooting me in the leg to see if your BB gun had any bbs in it, 😂sweet side of helping me write “my dog has fleas” 4th grade poem, buying my prom dress for me , and sharing “our weirdness” with me. As an adult sharing your courage through the pain and always saying , I love you Marla, without hesitation. I love you too and miss you.
