Carl Duane Horton

1958 - 2023

Carl "Duane" Horton was born on September 6, 1958 in Fort Worth, Texas. He grew up in Saginaw, Texas. He went to be with the Lord on August 8, 2023.

Duane is an electrician by trade, he started out with the local union IBEW 220. He also was a truck driver for a few years which is how he met his wife. He had many interests and hobbies, but his favorite was fishing. These last few years he really enjoyed tinkering with wood in "Pa's Piddlin' Shack". He is a husband of 33 years, father of 7, grandfather of 16 and dear friend to so many.

Duane was preceded in passing by his son, Dustin Alan Horton, and his father, Carl Burlton Horton.

Duane will be deeply and lovingly missed by his wife, Cindy Kelley Horton; children, Tia Horton Burgess and husband, Les Burgess Jr., Reece Duane Horton, Ashlie Horton Proctor, and wife, Mari Proctor, Leah Horton, Carla Horton Keele and husband, Cory Keele, and Emily Horton; grandchildren, Brayden and Madilyn Burgess, Kyndal, Makenzie, and Steele Horton, Jamison Green, Boone Proctor, Dustin Sawyer, Nettie Horton, Winter, Hunter, Tanner, Rylee, and Henry Keele; mother, Ida Mae Horton; sister, Patty and husband David Cain; niece, Amanda Taylor and family; daughter by choice, Andrea Ramos; granddaughters by choice, Jaz and Grace; and numerous close friends who became family.

Celebration of life will be held with family and friends.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that if compelled, help with making Duane's final wishes a reality is greatly appreciated.
