Carl spent most of his adult life in California working as a chiropractor and as a server at multiple venues. He was a connoisseur of good food, wine and rock music. Akido was his passion for many years. He gave up the Detroit Lions for the San Francisco Forty Niners as his favorite team. He enjoyed trips back to his native Michigan to visit with family. His California family was very important to him. He died from complications of pancreatic cancer. Carl didn’t want a traditional funeral so celebrations of life will occur both in Michigan and in California and are still being planned.
