Carl Howard Greene, Jr. 74, formerly of Darby, PA , passed away on Saturday, August 31, 2019 at the Lorien Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Columbia, Maryland.
Born in Darby, PA he was the son of the late Carl H. Greene, Sr. and Doris Robinson Brown and Hiram T. Brown, Sr.
Carl, was exceptionally talented and a creative aeronautical communications executive, he formerly served as President/CEO of West Virginia Re-Refining, Ltd., and Conversion Dynamics of Washington, D.C., the Director of Account Services for The Creative Connection in Washington DC, President of C.H. Greene & Associates of Washington, DC.and President and Creative Director of Greene, Gladmon & Associates of Washington, DC
Carl, was an accomplished artist and a collection of his work can be viewed at The Original Art of Carl H. Greene on Facebook.
Carl was a graduate Darby-Colwyn Junior/Senior High School, Class of 1963. He attended Indiana Institute of Technology, Fort Wayne, IN, Fall of 1963 to the Spring of 1964 in the Spring of 1965 he transferred to Lincoln University, Lincoln University, PA until the Fall of 1967 where he was an English Major and a brother of the Temeritous Ten Fall 1966 - Epsilon Chapter “Star of The East” of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity - Lincoln University, he also attended The University of Pennsylvania. Carl was a fan of the Pittsburgh Steelers.
Carl, was also a member of the United States Navy (Honorable Discharge)
This perfectly-imperfect amazing father is survived by his 7 children: Nadia Dorman Williams and her husband Carlos of Tucson, AZ, Shawn Dorman Sr. and his wife Sherise of Bowie, MD, Monica Webster Culver and her husband Gene of Winter Garden, FL, Kim Webster of Brooklyn, NY, Gabrielle Jeri-Greene of Bowie, MD, Damian Jeri-Greene and his wife Brooke of Fairborn, OH and Dorian Jeri Greene of Monessen, PA. 22 Grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren. His beloved, Aunt Gladys Smith of Sharon Hill, PA Sisters: Donna Greene, Carlie Fry, Deborah Singleton and her husband Marcus of Upper Marlboro, MD and Antoinette Brown, Philadelphia, PA. Brother: Hiram T. Brown, Jr. and his wife Thelma of Philadelphia, PA and a host of cousins, friends and relatives.
Preceded in death by his sister Jackie Greene and his brothers: Keith Greene and David Greene.
Family and friends gathered on Saturday, September 7th, for a day of remembrance.
Cremation services were provided by Maryland Cremation Services.
