Carl F. Dietz, 60 of Springfield MA, passed away on Saturday April 1, 2023, after a courageous battle with cancer.  Carl was born in Washington D.C. on July 20, 1962, to Peter Dietz and Judith Coscarelli.

Carl graduated from Westfield High School and Bridgewater State College.  He was a proud brother of the Sigma Chi Fraternity.  

Carl married the love of his life, Laurie Baceski in 2006.  Although their time together was too short, they were blessed for the special time they shared.

Carl loved to travel both in the states and abroad.  He always looked forward to his high school buddies golf weekend each year and playing in a weekly league with his close friend, Richard Costello.  Carl was an excellent cook.  He enjoyed spending time with family and friends.  

Carl always gave of himself.   One of Carl’s exceptional qualities was he was always willing and able to help his Family  and Friends when they needed a hand. 

Prior to Carl’s retirement in 2021, Carl was the Building Commissioner for the City of Chicopee.  

Carl will be dearly missed, by all who knew him.

A memorial service will be held on June 3rd at 10:00 at St. Michael’s Parish, 128 Maple Street, East Longmeadow,  MA
