Carl is mourned by his loving spouse Kandy Cunningham, his dedicated sons Christopher and Brendon Cunningham of Augusta, GA, his beloved niece Joann Cunningham of Asheville, TN, and his six grandchildren. His absence will be deeply felt within the family circle and by all who knew him.
He had an innate love for the simple pleasures in life. His favorite meals often centered around BBQ, and he enjoyed washing it down with an Arnold Palmer. He preferred the comforting tunes of Garth Brooks and the classic TV show MASH. Ever the sports enthusiast, he passionately supported the Tennessee Vols.
Carl had a skilled hand and a creative mind, often found building things in his well-loved shop. He stayed active in his own unique ways, partaking in recreational activities such as fly fishing and hiking the Smoky Mountains. His favorite vacation spots included the tranquil Outer Banks, a place that truly captured his love for nature.
Blue was Carl's favorite color, symbolizing the depth and tranquility that marked his persona. He was a man who deeply cared for his grandchildren and committed himself to foster love and affection for them. His life mantra was to appreciate nature, a lesson he imbued not only in words but in his daily actions.
