Our beloved brother and loved son passed away very sadly and unexpectedly in Kings College Hospital on the morning of February 1st.
Carl had been a train driver with the London Underground for 20 years; a job he loved passionately. He was a great traveler to exotic lands and also enjoyed a great interest in American cars which he inherited from his father.
Carl had gone in to hospital in London for a minor surgery which ended in severe complications resulting in a liver transplant. Carl spent the last year of his life in hospital attended by his father, Bill, and sisters Tara and Martine. His last 4 months were spent in Todd Ward at Kings College Hospital in South London where he received amazing care and attention from all of the staff.
However the liver transplant was not successful and the unfortunate outcome was Carls passing
We, his family remain devastated by the loss and we are trying to find comfort in our many fond memories of Carl.
